frames

this is a picture of my hallway two days ago (& what it has looked like for the past four years). 

simple.

and boring.

i decided to take my time on determining how i wanted to decorate it for a couple reasons:

a.) remember my wee little budget we have to work with?

2.) it is our only hallway in our house

c.) i wanted to make sure i did it right the first time & really, really fell in love with the decor idea

so i thought. and sketched. and tagged magazine pictures. and pinned ideas from pinterest. 

and talked with alan. 

and slept on it. 

and changed my mind.

1000 times. 

and finally decided on this: 

:: I wanted picture frames. for us to enjoy & remember

:: for others to enjoy & see into our lives

:: that we could switch out during seasons, phases, or anytime we felt like it.

so i started an "envelope" and starting stashing money in it towards the frames the mr. and i really, genuinely loved. 

and then we had enough. 

and we bought them. 

printed pictures for them. 

and hung them up. 

and we love it! 

it's simple. 

it's us.

and it's gonna be forever. ;) (at least that's what the hubs thinks)
